Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented QA Manager, Food Production, to oversee quality assurance processes in our food production operations. The ideal candidate will have a background in food safety, regulatory compliance, and quality control, particularly in food manufacturing or cannabis-infused products. This role will ensure that all products meet the highest standards for safety, quality, and consistency, while complying with all relevant industry regulations. -
Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the QA team to maintain and improve quality control and assurance systems in the food production process. -
• Develop, implement, and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for food safety, quality control, and regulatory compliance. -
• Conduct regular audits of production processes to ensure adherence to internal and external standards, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP). -
• Collaborate with production teams to identify potential quality issues and implement corrective actions as needed. -
• Communicate with our partners on product quality status -
• Submit new products to state governing organizations for approval -
• Oversee testing protocols for raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure product quality and consistency. -
• Maintain accurate documentation of quality assurance activities, including test results, audits, and inspections. -
• Train and educate staff on quality assurance standards and procedures to promote a culture of quality throughout the company. -
• Stay updated on evolving regulations and best practices in the cannabis and food production industries, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws. -
• Investigate and address customer complaints related to product quality, ensuring swift resolution and preventative measures. -
• Manage and monitor supplier quality and performance, ensuring all raw materials meet required specifications. -
  
  Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field. -
  • 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance in a food production or cannabis-related industry. -
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards (FDA, HACCP, GMP, etc.). -
  • Knowledge of cannabis industry regulations -
  • Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and continuous improvement initiatives. -
  • Relentless attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities. -
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams. -
