Job Description Join our team in a critical role providing
engineering support services to Combat System Project Engineers
(CSPE) and availability support team members during Chief of Naval
Operations (CNO) and Destroyer AEGIS Modernization (AMOD)
Availabilities. The selected candidate will perform technical and
administrative tasking to aide in the identification of solutions
to problems inherent with modernization of major in-service combat
systems.Tasking is performed in both office and industrial
(shipboard/shipyard) environments. There are two (2) work locations
depending upon the award of the assigned CNO/AMOD availability. The
primary work location for this role is at Naval Station Everett.
When an availability is awarded to a shipyard in Seattle, the
selected candidate will be required to work at the awarded shipyard
location in Seattle.The ideal candidate will have a strong work
ethic and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
with our Waterfront Fleet Support Teams which operate at Government
Facilities in Mayport FL, Norfolk VA, Pearl Harbor HI, and San
Diego CA. Our teams work alongside our customers which dictates a
high level of self-accountability, professionalism, motivation, and
dedication.Some Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily onboard ship checks to monitor and report status
of Combat System Ship Alterations, to identify issues with
potential impact on the production schedule and Combat Systems
testing.
- Identify, document, and track discrepancies, compartment
release schedules, and major checklist items.
- Manage all availability documentation, set up and facilitate
meetings, maintain lessons learned and action item trackers, and
compile and submit detailed status reports.
- Provide discrepancy management support during system assessment
events by collecting, validating, and processing identified
equipment discrepancies.
- Be knowledgeable of and adhere to specific Navy instructions
and all applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
- Perform other tasking as directed by customers, stakeholders,
and/or BAE Systems management.This position is located in Everett,
WA. There is no relocation assistance available for this position.
Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to
relocate self to Everett or surrounding areas.Required Education,
Experience, & Skills Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related
experience OR Associate's degree and 7 years of related experience
OR High School diploma and at least 9 years of related experienceAt
least three years of experience supporting military programsCG or
DDG ship class experienceAbility to read/interpret ship
installation drawingsHigh level of accountability, attention to
detail, positive problem-solving approach, and the ability to ask
for helpExperienced with Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work in
an industrial environment and wear all required PPEAbility to
perform in a team environment with minimal supervisionAbility and
willingness to support out-of-state domestic travel shortly after
hire date for trainingPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills US
Navy Work Center Supervisor experience and/or working knowledge of
Ship's maintenance systemPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range:
$82440 - $140160Please note: This range is based on our market pay
structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a
variety of factors including, but not limited to: business
