Director of Corporate Events is a highly influential role,
reporting directly to the Chief Communications and Corporate
Responsibility Officer, with responsibility for building,
socializing, and implementing an operating model that centralizes
disparate event management and production work from across the
enterprise, into the Corporate Events team. You will own and lead
all major events for T-Mobile employees as well as external partner
events, showcasing our brand while building a scalable business
model that drives growth and optimizes return on investment.
Through these corporate events, you will ensure the consistent
execution of highly creative, talked-about moments in our
Un-carrier moves, earnings announcements, employee recognition
experiences, and much more. Join us!Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, socialize, and implement a comprehensive strategy to
centralize event management and production for the enterprise,
aligned to company goals and objectives, and maintaining agreement
and consensus from key internal partners.
- Influence and collaborate with cross-functional leaders to
ensure event management and execution are aligned to brand
standards, company goals, objectives, and meets expectations.
- Deliver on and refresh the business case for event
centralization, finding new ways to optimize for efficiency, scale,
quality, and economics.
- Oversee the management of annual event spend on behalf of
multiple internal customers, regularly monitoring and communicating
return on investment.
- Create, implement, and oversee a comprehensive budget tracking
system, in close partnership with Finance and Procurement,
regularly reporting negotiated savings and efficiencies
captured.
- Foster close partnerships with cross-functional groups who
provide brand messaging and communications, as well as internal
groups who will help to create and provide content for internal
events.
- Build strong relationships with external agency partners, other
vendors, and event organizers at the executive level.
- Lead, mentor, motivate, and inspire a team of event managers,
navigating organizational change, and excelling the production of
events, keeping a business frame of mind, while being flexible and
able to move quickly with changing demands.
- Oversee the planning and execution of all corporate events,
including trade shows, product launches, customer appreciation
events, employee reward and recognition events, and other large
internal events.
- Represent the company at industry events and
conferences.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or related
field.
- Extensive experience leading a centralized corporate events'
function at a large public company.
- Proven ability to build and implement enterprise-wide business
cases and deliver on expectations for return on investment.
- 10+ years work experience building and leading strong
teams.
- 10+ years work experience creating high-profile, talked about
events, facing both internal and external customers, at a large
scale.
- Strong communication skills.
- Data-driven and results-oriented, focused on creating customer
value and making a positive impact.
- Strategic problem solver, with the ability to influence in

$285,400.00The pay range above is the general base pay range for a
successful candidate in the state listed. The successful
candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as
work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual
starting pay may be above or below this range. At T-Mobile,
employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an
annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their
role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus
based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at
a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses
based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and
Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales
